<p>This isn't the first time we have had issues with Rumpke. It took us over three months to get our spare can. Last week we were told trash was a week behind due to weather. Yesterday 12/30/2022 was our pick up. It was going on four o'clock so I decided to call and see if trash was getting picked up. I was told if not that day it would be the following morning today 12/31/2022. So we saw the Rumpke truck got every house but ours! Our bill is up to date. Rumpke has not picked my trash in almost 3weeks I keep calling and they say they will return in 24-48 hrs no one ever shows up not getting anywhere with this company. Cancelled my service
I’ve been wanting to return my Rumpke can since September 12, 2022. I’ve been promised they will pick up within 48 hours. Well, it is now November 5, 2022 and my can still hasn’t been picked up! I’ve called multiple times and nothing! Canceled this week because of their incompetence!!
This trash service likes to mess up your address and then refuse to fix it. I called to have new trash bins delivered to my house since I just moved. I was told they would be delivered today. I never got them and when I called to see why they told me the address was put in wrong. They said I could either pick them up from the address they had or they could contact the truck center and have them pick them up and take them. Seems like many people are having the same issues my wife and I are having. The customer service is HORRIBLE!!! Ive been given the runaround multiple times since ive started service with them in June 2022. I feel like I've called them about once a month about some billing issue or them not picking up our trash. As of November 1st, 2022, the past 4 weeks, ive had my trash picked up 1 time!!! 1 TIME!!!! Rumpke is a disaster. We registered for their recycling on Aug 31 in Huntington, WV. They took the money from our bank account within minutes. The service was supposed to start on October 7. They never delivered the bin to us and since October 7 we have called them four times, to have our money transferred back to us. It still has not arrived back. Today, October 26, 2022, we are reporting them to the AG of West Virginia, the Consumer Protection Agency.
I missed putting my trash out because I was sick, called service was told “nothing I can do.” Guess that’s understandable. Separate date: I put the trash out, driver did not pick up. Have doorbell footage of trash out and driver passing my house. Their customer service said “the driver marked it as not being out, so it wasn’t out” then promptly told me I couldn’t do anything and said have a nice day to me before hanging up. As you can see, excellent service *sarcasm*
I think Rumpke is poor at resolving customer problems I have called at several times to resolve there audit billing mistake to my home. They are trying to charge me for a extra trash can that I never had. Every time I have called the have said oh yes I believe we did make the mistake, we run it up to are supervisor and have them take a look and take it off your bill and call you back. less than one star. Service for trash is good. But now, I have closed the service and let them pick my bins up. But they keep saying I can't find your bins and everytime they charge me $50 as a trip fee. I put one trash bin and recycle bin but they said we found trash bin not recycle bin and keep charging fee. Ridiculous service. Customer service keep saying the same words.
