I’ve had ongoing issues with Rumpky Trash service. On several occasions, my trash was not collected while everyone else on my block’s trash was picked up. Initially, I was told my trash cans were too heavy, which led me to purchase two new trash cans at $100 each. This was frustrating, especially considering that my 12-year-old daughter regularly takes the trash out as part of her chores, so weight has never truly been an issue. I canceled my trash service through the website. I did not get a confirmation, so I reached out again. They said they did not receive it but canceled my service. Then I get a bill for services that I did not use. They still charged me for services till they officially canceled the service. I reached out to them to fix this mix up and they wont reverse the charges.

We have been going back and forth with Rumpke for almost a year now. My husband calls about our trash not being picked up all the time. We're always told that they'll let the drivers manager know. They'll credit our account yada yada. Last week husband called, assured us they'd send someone back out to pick it up. No one showed. Today I left for work, trash cans both still at the end of the driveway and I watched the truck drive past us. Husband had to call and complain and they sent someone to empty the cans. Love you several trash companies in the past being from another state and all. Rumpke is one of the worst trash companies I've ever had to use. They don't pick your trash up when I supposed to they don't take the bill off your debit card when you go to pay it. They took a week and a half to take the money off my debit card and the lady in the office had no idea we tried to pay because they don't check the records. If I could leave a zero would do so, we had these folks for over 13 years, we moved and continued service the last year at least quarterly had to call in to ask why no pick. They did pick up every other week for a while called in again complained. The straw that broke the camels back is we have not had service since before Christmas and now into mid Jan., was giving leeway because of road conditions, but doesn’t pay to be a nice guy. On Friday 1/2/26 I called and spoke with ********. I paid my bill and asked her if I would be picked up the following morning. she informed me that my trash would be picked up the following morning due to holiday schedule. I have been in and out of the hospital, so my trash hasnt been set out over the last couple of weeks- so I just wanted to inform them that there would be trash and it absolutely had to be picked up. I have had Rumpke service for over a year and never had a problem until 2 weeks ago when they never picked up my trash. I have called their 800 number numerous times and have been told it would be picked up "today". It has never been picked up. Now the wind has blown over the cans and animals have strewed the trash everywhere. I have been forced to go out in the bitter wind and cold and try to retrieve what trash I could from my yard. We placed our trash by the road on Monday last week, for our Tuesday pick-up. The weather was nasty on Tuesday, which my husband and I understand; however, it is Sunday and our trash is still sitting there. We have called 3 times to try to get our trash picked up.
