RecommendedI was bringing my dog Rikki there for about 9years and I must say everybody who worked there were very nice to me and my baby ....even towards the end ,it was the hardest thing I had to do was put my baby down cause he was very sick ....he dealt with diabeties and then blindess ( we both did good with that ) until end ...but they were understanding and very compassionet ,oked me to pay my bill little by little and that ment the world to me cause vet bills are very expensive
RecommendedAll the doctors, techs, vet assistants and front desk people are wonderful. We have been going there for over 25 years and now with our 4th dog and they have taken wonderful care of them all. Dr. Lissman is fantastic with our dogs. They have all loved him and so do we. They are the most caring group of people you could ever hope to meet. I've been bringing my pets to Sachem Animal Hospital for years, including my dog Rudy and my two cats, Stella and Mindy. While the vets are competent, scheduling is convenient, and the wait times are generally reasonable, my recent experiences have made me question their business practices and pricing. For example, I was charged $380 for a Cytopoint injection for my 90-lb dog. WARNING DO NOT GO HERE!!! I got a puppy rottie last year and brought her to Sachen animal hospital because it was close to my location. My puppy developed cherry eye and I brought her to her vet. Had to pay over $400 for the visit just to be told they couldn’t do anything and referred me to another animal hospital. While waiting for the surgery my puppy eye got inflamed needed antibiotics.I took her to sachem and they charged me $300 and gave me an ointment. I called about a refund we never received that was about a year old but unfortunately I just caught it now after reviewing invoices for my pets insurance company. When I was put on hold ( or at least the worker who answered the phone thought I was on hold ) I sat there for half hour listening to the two staff members behind the counter talk badly about us and then talk about other customers badly. RecommendedMy beautiful Golden doodle was sick very disappointed in the animal hospital we were going to for 9 years we needed a second opinion .We went to Sachem Animal Hospital people couldnt have been kinder we saw Dr Meyer he was great professional , compassionate my Juno had a large mass they found and it was affecting her lungs Unfortunatly we had to put her down as heartbreaking as it was there assistants and Dr Meyer got us through.
