The service was incredible. The staff was very attentive and friendly. They seemed truly interested in ensuring that we had an enjoyable experience - and we did! The food was excellent as well. I highly recommend Saltlik!!
Dinner for 4. Decent ambiance. Good downtown location. Nothing very special on the appetizer menu, so we skipped it. Main courses (we all selected beef options) were prepared well, but the sides were of small quantity. We were served within a reasonable time and our meals arrived all at once, which was nice. Saturday night was our first time at this Stephen Ave. location. We liked the decor and felt comfortable although the noise level was a bit loud for a good conversation. I had the petite filet but it had that soft texture that sometimes happens to steak that is too tenderized. I ordered it rare but it was closer to blue. My partner had the house salad and the chicken which were both very good. The wait staff was attentive. It was a good location as we had tickets for the CPO. We went to Saltlik to celebrate my birthday - upon noticing my steak wasn't cooked to my request, the manager immediately took action and replaced my order. She took my order as well as some beverages off of my order, and provided us dessert at no cost. The food was fantastic and the service was just as good - kudos to the staff for turning what could have been a bad experience to a memorable one. Thank you!
The food was okay; I ordered a steak medium and it came out well done! When we first entered the restaurant (4:30pm), there was no one to seat us. We waited approx. 5 minutes at the front (along with another couple who came in at the same time). Also make sure to come after 5pm, as the parking was $28 prior ($15 post); with being out of town it would have been nice to have been notified. The Saltlik in Banff was a lot better (food, service, location).
