Open Table stated standard seating in our reso, buy we were put outside in the snow, under a leaky tent. We were told the special tomahawk steak was 125.00, but it was 147.00 on our bill. Also, there was a charge for an 8.00 coffee shot that we didn't have. Just overall, not good. Our server was funny though, so that helps.

My best friend and I went out to dinner recently. My steak was overcooked and her drinks were made incorrectly twice in a row. Our server was friendly but it took quite a while for her to come back to our table which left us waiting without drinks for a fair amount of time. It was our first night out in a year due to covid and we were so excited but this was disappointing.

The service was extremely slow, the entire table ordered a medium rare steak and was given a rare steak we went our food back to the kitchen and it took about 20 minutes to get our meal back. In the waiting process only 2 out of the 3 people were given something to snack on. When we asked the waitress to get a 3rd snack she said it was coming and never did we receive the 3rd.

Overall, it was a good night however the waitstaff did a poor job of communicating the cook time of our meal, it was at least twice to three times the time we were told of 15-20 minutes and when the butcher block special arrived (tomahawk steak), the sides that came with it were barely enough to serve the 4 of us (ie: having to cut the single floret of cauliflower into 4 portions for the table), clearly a communication break down between the waitstaff and kitchen.

I was extremely disappointed that no gluten free options were available. All food had cross contamination. No manager came to talk to me about the implications with my Celiac disease. I’ve come to expect that as the “norm”. The decor is dated. We had to wait for our food and it wasn’t hot. The one saving grace was the service. The waiting staff was excellent. Attentive and considerate. Not the high end steak house I was expecting.

We had heard fantastic things regarding this restaurant and thought to visit as we were staying at the palliser downtown, disappointed with service (trying to take out plates before we were even remotely finished) food was mediocre at best especially for the price point. Unfortunately we will not be returning.

It took more than an hour to get the food after we ordered.

Bad service. Twice they got my drink wrong and there was only 10 customers in there! You can also tell the quality of the food isn’t as good as it used to be. Disappointed and won’t be going back.
