I had a burger with side mushrooms and a house salad. The mushrooms had been completely over seasoned and were far too salty. The salad was supposed to have candied almonds but instead had cajun flavoured almonds which ruined the salad overall. The burger was tasty but the patty was small. I've dined many times at Saltlik for both lunch and dinner. Lately, I've noticed a a marked decline in the quality of their food to the point where I won't go back.
Pretty great cuts of beef, poor service So this is the second time to this restaurant. First time we were the only ones in the place and we had horrible service. It was like we didn't exist. Steak was thin and mediocre in quality, and was overcooked. It was our first time there and we won't be returning.
Simple chicken sandwich for lunch served on a cold (previously frozen but not quite thawed?) bun just wasn't the quality of food or presentation that I would have expected. No opportunity to share this feedback as our server didn't check in on the meal, nor bring our bill until asked. Unfortunate experience, I won't be back.
Not the best steak in Calgary, maybe it was just the hype but it was a let down. Not happy with the food at all, probably won't be going back.
I found the service very sub par for an 'upscale' restaurant. My $39 steak was overcooked. And on the small side. I will not be returning to this restaurant nor will I recommend it to anyone. Very disappointing.
