I took a client out for lunch at Saltlik. We had previous good experiences, and were expecting no less this time around. We were sadly mistaken. Below is a list of issues we had with the restaurant: -My client was a celiac and is unable to have any bread. This was clearly communicated to the waiteress, but his soup ended up having some bread in it. -My client ordered his steak medium; my colleague and I ordered ours medium rare. waited 1 hr from ordering lunch to be served... Explanation was 'We're busy today'. Shouldn't they has thought of that before they booked all the tables? Steaks undercooked, probably due to rushing the cooking process. disappointing. Won't be back.

Service was slow, food portions were small, and the food came out cold. I use to have lunch here regularly, and recommended it to colleagues for a dinner meeting, we all went away disappointed. It use to be so much better.

Right at the door rather than ask if we had a reservation they quickly mentioned there was no availability until 9PM. Why not ask us if we had a reservation first? Yes we did for 4 people for 6:30PM. We were sat, the four of us, in one of their half moon booths. There was 3 place settings on the table but there was 4 of us. The booth was not at all comfortable, very crowded. I made the reservation way in advance for our group. Our server was very knowledgeable and friendly. The food came 45 minutes later after our initial ordering (two chicken burger, one hamburger , soup and salad for six people)..should not take that long. Our server was running from one side to the other..she was serving and brining the food all by herself. Great round tables for large groups. Unfortunately meals came out 3 at a time with 3 min. breaks in between for a group of 9 with one meal completely forgotten :( Hair was found in one meal :( Servers lacked manners and constantly spilled water when refilling glasses. Food was not hot enough (cheese didn't melt at all on baked potatoes) Mignon was not tender enough, chewy :( Prices do not reflect standards.

The strip loin steak was unusually thin and unremarkable, the filet cuts were very generous but the cook severely over salted all the steaks...a real disappointment. The baked potatoes were just warm, not hot. The apple pie dessert was very good. The staff had a laptop set up in the dining area right beside our table and it was very unprofessional. Our server Ali, was great. I have eaten at the Saltik many times over the years and was shocked at how poor our meal was.
