Had my eye on a new 5 String Bass, and ended up on ebay looking at a used Michael Kelly Element 5R that was listed as "used" or open box thru Sam Ash Direct. I jumped over to the Sam Ash website to do some further research, and ended up chatting with Daniel Hof who answered all of my questions and comparisons on a couple of other bass guitars. I was looking for the Selmer 52AXOS alto sax and found it on the Sam Ash website. I was in a time constraint due to damage to my current horn which needs extensive repair. Anyway long story short, this item ended up being on back order. Daniel Hof in customer service went out of his way to find the info I needed so I could figure out an alternative plan that worked for my situation. I have been buying/selling guitars and gear at Sam Ash since I moved to NYC in 2018 and I will never go to another guitar shop for anything ever again!! The staff is really nice and willing to take the time to answer any questions you have. They really care about making sure you are buying the right equipment and not just trying to sell you the most expensive gear.
