Customer service was excellent how ever it seems l iui ke their is a lack of items such as sax mute certain books have to be ordered. Some time a person does not want to deal with going online .
Long wait one hour
People were inattentive. I wasn't sure who was who in the store besides the people behind the register. The place was looked rundown and if I wasn't in a rush I definitely would have gone somewhere else.
I couldn't tell who worked there or who was just hanging out. Someone was playing with a dog. I had questions and didn't know who to ask. I came there on my way back to Jersey because this is the place I've been going to since I was a child. It was nostalgic but dirtier that I remember.
I had a unpleasant experience at the other major music competitor ( GC ). Went to buy a Music Stand and did not see any except the ones on display. Walked over to a Sales Rep who clearly saw me searching and he did not even reach out to help me. Left the store. I went to Sam Ash in Queens BLVD NY and was greeted when I walked in , directed by a Sales Rep to the music stands location and completed the purchase with a pleasant attitude from the employees! I like Sam Ash overall, but this particular trip was no good. I went looking for a truss rod adjusting wrench (socket kind, for vintage Gibson style truss rod), but there was not one in the store. The sales person was not sure what I was looking for exactly, but did sell me a $35 tool kit instead of the $10 wrench I needed. The tool kit ended up not working out. Overall, a negative experience, but the employees were friendly and tried to help, so it wasn't all bad.
