Great experience with John in the Guitar Section. Very talented young man. Great personality with a willingness to listen, share and point in the right direction. It's been a while since I walked into a music store because you know, just order everything online. So glad I did, I dont remember the very helpful musician who assisted me. But in minutes he had me setup with the equipment I needed. Finding the right equipment myself would have taken hours of research online. Setup the equipment last night and it's perfect. Don't discount in person expertise to get you the correct setup. Plus they price match, you have nothing to lose and everything to gain.
I bought a guitar from here in a whim. It wasn't very expensive. It was used, and in excellent condition. I love it. But the best part was the guy named Joseph who helped me out. He went out of his way to help me out, even though it wasn't going to be a big ticket item. He still took the time, and helped me out... and what I thought was way above and beyond, was he called me a few days later just to check and see if everything was cool with the guitar. I was assisted with care from the moment I walked in. They offered me a decent price on my trade in gear and the product I ordered was delivered in less than 24 hours. The store was much more looked after than the local guitar center as well. I look forward to working with them again as I look to replace older cymbals for new ones!
The Drummer Manager wanted to give me very little for my drums. I am very disappointed with Sam Ash. My late husband bought those drums there, actually bought almost bought everything there. I did find out that Sam Ash likes to pay very little for the instruments they get. But they like to make money on it. I'm glad I said no. Another store was willing to pay me $589 just for the drums.
