Went in to trade some pedals to purchase a new pedal yesterday. I get in and the guy at the check in desk says he will assist me with the trade in process and purchase. As expected it takes time for them to assess a price for the items I brought in and get manager approval. During that time around 50 minutes into the process the employee assisting me rudely decides to go help another patron at the store leaving me with no one find out the information I asked or where my items are at this point. First visit to Sam Ash. I had done a few on line transactions. Was at a "center" and was completely ignored. Not happy. Looked up guitar stores in the area and found a SA close by. Greeted at the front door, asked for a guitar person and was imeadiatly introduced to Benjamin. Nice knowledgable young guy.Very helpful. Bought a new Gibson and a B9 pedal. Spent just over a grand. No pressure just helpful. Sorry GC.
Sam Ash Music Stores is the worst. I normally just go to Guitar Center, but I needed a keyboard and my friend says you should try Sam Ash. Tuesday I wanted a keyboard for the new office of The Free Man, maybe use on stage or if someone was playing solo on our new patio. I tried out the Korg LP 380 which is available everywhere (delivered) for $850. I liked it, so I bought one. They said "No problem, we will meet you out side with it". These people are shady...I was in to buy something my wife wanted. The price it rang up was different than how it was tagged. The amount was not huge, but I made mention of it because wrong is wrong. The guy laughed out loud that I would make mention of it. He acted disgusted and said that he could call his manager over but it would probably take him a long time to come over...meaning, do you really want to go to this much trouble over this amount of difference? Almost every instrument I grabbed off the wall had something wrong with it. Good selection of guitars though.
I've called this store three times and couldn't receive any help. They put me on hold twice and when I did get someone on the phone he hung up. Mark in the guitar department if you don't like your job my suggestion is to find another one. We were searching for a Lyre for my daughter's horn. Instead of answering the phones professionally, you hung up on me! The worst customer service!
