Great service. Seated at favorite window-side table for two. Chose the night’s beef special and it was delicious. After years of not going to the Sandbar because of a seemingly never changing and boring menu, we’ve been back now twice. Both times have been excellent, and we expect to go back more often.
This was our first visit to Sandbar and it won't be our last. We wanted to take an friend visiting from California to a Long Island restaurant that would wow them and Sandbar didn't disappoint. Lovely interior, friendly and attentive service and outstanding food. Our friend ordered the steak and commented several times on what a wonderful meal he had. My halibut was perfect. Had a Lovely dinner and lovely service... Food was so good.... all 6 of us thoroughly enjoyed it!
All was very good except we were told about a wonderful butternut squash soup, and then they didn’t have. Then, we ordered rack of lamp medium rare, and it came out tough and medium well.
We love dining at the Sandbar and decided to go with our friends. The chickpea fries and the mussels were a huge hit!!- I enjoyed the halibut and my husband had the bass. Everything was delicious! And the waitress was extremely nice . Can’t wait to go back!!!
Love the decor and ambiance. Service was great. Food tasty. I thought the wines per glass were a bit too pricey. Gets crowded on a Sat night so a reservation is a must.
We arrived on time and were seated right away. We were greeted by our waiter who took our drink order and told us the specials. In no time we were eating our delicious appetizers......shrimp special, duck tacos and charred octopus, butternut squash soup. My entree, organic chicken was so moist and the sauce was great. Our friends had the scallops which looks amazing and tasted the same. My husband had the pan seared halibut and loved it. Even the coffee was great! We will be back again to try everything on the menu. 😊👍🏻
