Sandbar is my favorite restaurant! It never disappoints! The choice of cocktails is always interesting and the wine list extensive, but not overwhelming. The "Sound" is a refreshing gin and cucumber cocktail that was a perfect way to start off my meal. A simply wonderful dining experience had by my partner and I last night. We were promptly seated in the main dining room which he described as a combination of the inside of a ship meets elegant loft. It felt open, bright, inviting and we couldn't help but keep admiring the combination of light fixtures, wood and steel beams. We enjoyed our dinner at Sandbar. Visually beautiful interior. Service was fine. Some extras missing like small bowl for refuse shells for mussel and clams. Not a major faux pas.
All was delicious. Was there with 2 very well behaved children, aged 1 and 4. Food took a very long time to come out of the kitchen, tho people who arrived after us ate before us. When there are young children at the table, it is wiser to serve food in a timely manner because they get restless. I didn’t expect the food to be out quickly, but the adults at the table were also getting impatient. As it turned out, the children never “lost it” but we were lucky. Other than that, the experience was lovely!
Had a 9:30 dinner on a Monday night. Thank you Sandbar for still being open. Food and service was terrific. We shared the ceviche appetizer special which was fresh and delicious. Then my wife had the chicken breast entree and I had the red snapper special. Both were outstanding. Our server - I believe Anthony - was very accommodating and although we were rushing because we thought the kitchen was closing he reassured us the kitchen will be open throughout our dinner. A great experience all around.
Business, I plan on taking my wife back. Beautiful location, good food, excellent service.
