We were looking forward to our 1st dinner here having heard so many good things about the restaurant. Unfortunately we did not find it to be the 4 to 5 star venue others have rated it be. As to parking, there’s a public lot across the street as well as street parking. We started with a shared tuna tartare appetizer, which was the best thing we had. It was very good. The Sandbar salad came next - it was a good salad. For entrees we had the sword fish, which was good but nothing outstanding and the chicken pot pie, which was w... read more

Fantastic wine, service, and food. Ambiance is so nice and being able to eat away from the bar was nice/cozy. Don’t go when it’s crowded. Not worth it. Our server was Brendan and he was perfect. Extremely knowledgeable regarding food and wine. Clearly the chef and management train their employees to be well resounded. Great for a date or a cozy dinner on a cold night!

Great meal, even given we did the LI Restaurant week option. All dishes were perfectly executed and the service was just the right amount of attentive...we were meeting old friends who we’d not seen in many years, and needed lots of conversation time before we were ready to order, which our server respected beautifully. One of my very favorite restaurants!

Took advantage of the Restaurant Week menu at Sandbar. The meal was spot on - the minestrone w/ sausage soup was perfect for a cold winter night and my wife loved the potato gnocchi. Our main courses did not disappoint with a huge portion of swordfish that was perfectly prepared. The steelhead trout was also very good. The sorbet dessert was excellent and the wife was raving about the fresh donuts. All in all a very nice meal with attentive service and solid food.
