Dr. Aly has been amazing. We are so glad we found him. He is so calm and patient and always ready to listen.
Dr. Aly is an amazing ID doctor he explained everything in detail. Took time to answer all the questions I had for him. I did not have have to wait long at all to see him and both him and office staff are very friendly and nice. I definitely recommend Dr. Aly if you are looking for an Infectious Disease doctor at this time.
I had been with Dr Aly for many years. But once they moved into the new building his office staff changed . I had trouble getting maintenance meds and had to go to urgent care for a UTI… I also had forms for insurance disability that never was a problem … but his office staff never returned the insurance company that need more info . Had problems getting results. Then I started getting scheduled with PA. I never missed an appt .. I hated to leave but can only miss so maintenance meds . Saw him once. After that saw NPs. Which is ok with me, I actually like the NPs, just be aware. Also, it’s impossible to call them. They don’t answer and don’t return messages, and I’ve never been able to use the pt portal because I cannot get it to work, and not for lack of trying…..no help from the office with that either. It’s a real specialization, so no one else in the area to go to.
Dr. Aly is not really a doctor I’d recommend based on my personal experience. Please stay away from him. There are far better infectious disease doctors in Sugarland. He does not bat an eye to abandon you regardless of how sick you are! He puts his own interest ahead of his patients and does not stick to what he says ... If you are in a challenging situation just don’t go to him!!
Really stupid office staff members. They don’t know what they’re supposed to do, ask YOU questions, and don’t know English. Really, really dumb. Waste of time talking to them.
We went to him because of a fever that lasted 2 weeks. The first available apt was in 2 weeks. we finally went. Its been a month of them rescheduling us for the results. Tried calling several times throughout. This last time we got "we will get back with you. We will contact the lab for the results." They have not even looked at the lab results, based on that response. Wife is in extreme pain and needs steroid shots, but that doctor wont give to her until all clear from infectious disease doctor
I was transferring care because I had moved - they took my current doctor's information, fax numbers, etc. to get records. When I arrived at the appointment (after taking off from work), the receptionist seemed surprised as she put her personal cell phone down. She asked "Do you have your records with you?" She then, rather flippantly, said she could TRY to get the records (at 8:15am). Then said the doctor could see me "anyway". I demanded a call from the off admin - a week ago - still waiti
Had to pay up front, spent like 3 minutes with my wife. Wrote a $600 prescription and when the pharmacist tried to change it said "guess they can not afford it then". This is not my first rodeo navigating our joke of the health care system.
