This is the WORST storage unit to rent from it's a total rip-off it's RAT INFESTED put my equipment in the storage and less than a month it's was a RAT nest an insurance claim was filed since November I have over $2000 in damages and I was told that the insurance company only pays $500 for RAT damages that's CRAZY my Electronic's and other stuff was badly damaged it's now March and I still haven't received the check for $500 they charge you so much money monthly and it's like playing a CAT and MOUSE game with them to get you... read more

¡¡¡RATS RATS RATS RATS!!! HORRIBLE! My whole unit is infested with rats. I have feces and urine on all my stuff. I have two kids under 4 years old and all their "firsts" are in there. I have two heirloom seats from my deceased grandmother. Everything has been destroyed. Where there's poop, there's pee, and the pee is irreversible. We do have a pest control vendor service our facility each month, however, in most situations we are unable to find damage inside occupied units until the tenant visits their space. I had a very poor experience at Universal Self Storage for the following reasons: 1. Poor customer service - Management seemed unhappy when I first went in to rent a unit, as if it was an inconvenience for them. That was the case every time I interacted with them afterward as well, unenthusiastic and indifferent. Not to mention they were always out of the office whenever I went in or called. 2. They only answer the phone after they have gouged you with late fees even when you are 1 day late. If I didn't have a bad back I'd relocate my junk. Horrible...horrrible new management.

As others have indicated, mysterious price increases without any warning. Price increase of 25% from June, 2016 to June, 2017. I've been a customer since 2012 and prices have increased 125% in that time frame. Time to find a new storage unit. Too much competition to tolerate this kind of greed.

Stay away! Under new management. Fees mysteriously have gone up, and your payment date has changed. Required to pay my next months payment before the due date. The old management used to be nice and friendly, miss them. Go somewhere else!!! My last month there! They don't even deserve a star

Thank you Beth A, the situation out there at this location is very worse, despite Cathie is super rude, very disrespectful, she is always nagging, Racial Rant and Hate Act. Absolutely ridiculous rate increase. Was paying $38.00 had one rate increase to $49.00 in less than a year without notice. A 29% increase.... Why would you force a good paying customer out by doing that. someone clearly doesn't know how to manage their business very well.
