I have been with StorAmerica Oceanside for about five years. I have always had exceptional customer service, the property is clean, and they allow you to use their moving truck on your initial move in. Mr. Rodrigo is always helpful; whenever he sees me struggling with my things he makes sure I have access to one of those metal carts. The grounds are quiet, its not overcrowded like other storage facilities I have been acquainted with, where people are blocking access and you can't get around them. Lmao they don't really care, I got robbed from clothes and they have no security, you are able to come into the building at whatever time you feel like and there are multiple entrance to get into if you are homeless

Came here on Saturday after renting a 5x6 unit "sight unseen" using thier NSA online process. $51 or so was a decent deal. Went to space on Saturday, sign on office said "We will be back in office in two days". First impression as I fiddle with the gate code was the piles of trash all around the facility sorting through one of the piles was a homeless couple depositing things to from a shopping cart into one of the piles on the ground outside of the door to a space. Storage was broken in to and robbed. Door was left peeled from hinges. When I addressed the incident to front desk, guy working was unconcerned and commented he noticed my unit had been left in this state 2 days prior. Im baffled

Oh and UPDATE: they sent my past due balance to a collection agency and ruined my credit, even though they sold all of my personal items at a profit. They responded to this review to say that it's my responsibility to keep my contact information up to date, but I did! I called their front desk several times and talked to several people about my dilemma. Not once did they "work" with me, warn me about my stuff going up for auction, not one word other than: "that's fine. I'll make a note that you'll be in to pay it" If the... read more

This facility and it's employees do not care about you our your things. My friend has rented a unit here for over a year and today he went to move things out and into a new apartment. He came in to find a new lock on the unit that was not his and could not open. When asking the manager on duty they could not explain why there as a new lock and upon further inspection found that the unit had been broken into and things stolen. Lots of rat droppings everywhere in my storage unit and they even managed to get in my boxes. There was trash left in the hallways for weeks before it got picked up. Second gate is closed for some reason so it's inconvenient. 50% chance of the elevator working when you need it to. Main problem is the pest, make sure you wrap up your boxes and appliances real good. Building is overall just old and rundown. I'll post pictures later.

The property is old and run down, especially noticeable inside the units. Things like gates and elevators are often out of service for surprisingly lengthy periods -- ownership is clearly not spending any money on the property, but to the unfortunate detriment of their customers. The saving grace is manager Jose, who is an absolute delight to work with, kind and patient, always available and ready to help wherever he can. Thank you, Jose, for all your help, you have been greatly appreciated:).

Just like your review mentioned, we do have a second gate that is fully functional that tenants can use to enter and exit. We hope to have the upgrades completed on the 2nd gate as soon as possible. I have been renting the same storage unit with them for less than a year and my rent was just raised for the second time! Be warned, if you move in here, they will jack up your rent every 3-5 months.
