Horrible service, horrible business practices. DO NOT STORE HERE. Myself and a group of college students were taken advantage of by the managers time and time again as they refused to honor their pieces of the contract or even respond to queries. I have never reviewed on Yelp before but it makes me sick to think that I ever trusted these people to store my valuables.

We had two units. One that was along the south wall was ok. The other one was closer to the exit and got broken into. When we let the management know they said it was our problem. When we filed the police report the management said there was no video available even though we had a small time frame of when it could've happened and also knew our unit was in the sight line of the camera. Be aware of this place's unethical practice. I rent a unit not long ago, and they increased my rent by more than 20% after just 5 months!!! I would not have rented this place if I knew they use this kind unethical tactics. Stay away from this place!

Perusing the internet to check on prices and availability of storage units. Found Universal Self Storage and noticed that on their web site they post "We beat competitor's prices plus $0 first months rent." I had found a storage location in Montclair that was offering a 10 x 20 storage with 1st month free for $115. Great price but Montclair is further from my home than Universal (4.8 miles vs 1.8). Probably the worst storage experience I've ever had! When I first signed my contract with them, a gentleman name Tom worked there and he was the kindest, most helpful man. He assisted me when I misplaced the key to my lock, was patient with me when I had my credit card stolen and forgot to change the details on my auto debit account....overall a class act!
