Food is excellent depending on the order. The red snapper special was excellent, but the potatoes had mango and were overly sweetened. The crabcakes were good but a little too much dressing versus crab. The lobster ravioli was excellent. The arugula pear salad and regular salads were excellent. The wine order and food were priced reasonably comparative to the area. Service was ok but could be more personable .
Been here previously. Good Restaurant. This time couple of the dishes at the table where underwhelming. Table location unfortunately did not provide much of a waterview Needs a detailed cleaning, looks worn a bit. Railing overlooking down from 2nd level covered in Dust
We come to Hilton head quite often and had never been to Ela’s on the water before so figured we would give it a try. I was actually disappointed and don’t think we will be back. My steak had no flavor and my bar drink was so watered down with a cup full of ice in it. My fries were cold and it was truly not what we were expecting. The view was amazing and it was peaceful and quiet for dinner. Our waiter was very kind and did fine.
We had excellent service - and the restaurant is nice and cozy. The calamari , tuna entree, and oysters were fabulous ! I highly recommend this little gem of a spot on HHI. There was live music in the bar while we were there as well which we could hear at our table while we were dining upstairs. Cheers friends !
Just another great meal been there multiple times and hasn’t failed us yet.
Went after I proposed to my fiancé and dinner was great. They are always accommodating and we held up the kitchen by being late and service was still as thorough as it always is. We did not feel rushed during our celebration and I Thank all the staff that was there that night. Food was great. We will be back. Ela’s On the Water ROCKS!!!
Best salmon I’ve ever tasted! The Charcuterie was excellent! The only complaint was the ranch dressing tasted like bottle dressing and our pork chop a tad dry. Overall, a very good experience, we will come back.
