Service was great. Food was good but too heavy on the sauces and dressings. Outdoor chairs make you feel like you need a booster seat. They sit down too low. Views are beautiful!
We were seated at a table with a view. On a bright sunny day it was wonderful to watch the kayakers and boats come and go from the marina. Everyone in our party of four loved their food. The pear salad, the french toast, the omelette, and the bagel and lox were well prepared and delicious. Our server was attentive, but not obtrusive. It was a great lunch.

ELA'S is definitely one of favorite restaurants at HHI. The best wait staff and an excellent menu! On the evening that we dined there, it was a little more brisk and windy than I had expected and I asked if we could switch our reservation to indoors but unfortunately they were all booked up indoors. We sat waiting for someone to acknowledge our presence for quite some time. Finally, the waitress who had been serving the people right in front of us, said someone would probably be with us in a while. Wrong. Then the same waitress came back and said “I guess the someone is me. So we got water and a promise of bread, which took an inordinate amount of time to show up. Owner treated us like family. Our server Delaney was exceptional. Food was terrific as was the environment. Highly recommend.

Ela’s is conveniently located near/on the Shelter Cove marina. The wait staff and service people are very friendly and accommodating. The food is so-so. My Caesar salad was soaked with dressing so I couldn’t eat much of it. The lobster nachos were tasty but cold (I expected at least the chips/cheese to be heated). The crab stack was not very flavorful. Our friends’ meals looked OK …salmon and chicken over the pear salad. I had heard marvelous remarks on Ela’s and expected great things. Sadly, we were disappointed.
Arrival at restaurant & greeted by host with Happy Anniversary & glasses of champagne. Seated at a great table overlooking water. The rest went downhill with a waitress who clearly couldn’t handle her patrons. Our bottle of wine arrived fairly quickly along with the appetizer. The entrees took forever & by the time the waitress got back to us, we didn’t want to wait anymore as we were there over two hours. We were going to order dessert but at that point, we just called it a night since we seemed to have been forgotten.
