The pros: Beautiful setting on the water. Great shrimp cocktail and excellent cocktail sauce. (Shrimp cocktail is my favorite, so I know a good shrimp cocktail) I had the Salmon Rockafeller and it was delicious, but a very heavy dish. The salmon was cooked perfectly though and a nice large portion. The cons: My husband got the surf and turf. Ela's surroundings at Christmas is spectacular with all the Christmas lights in Shelter Cove. Service outstanding. Food was goo, my husband was disappointed they didn't have the scored flounder, his favorite dish there.
We had a wonderful dinner with family visiting Hilton Head. The service and food was amazing! Would highly recommend Ela’s. We had an spectacular corner table with view of shelter cove marina. Many boats were defrosted for the holidays. Steak, crab cakes, lobster, salmon, pork chops plus salads were all delicious!

This was our second visit to Ela’s in Shelter Cove. Both times we enjoyed outside dining overlooking the harbor. It was magical with the Christmas lights this visit. Our server did an excellent job! The food was exceptional, complimented with a lovely bottle of wine. We finished the experience off with a delicious dessert and a cup of decaf. We will certainly be returning on our next visits to the island!
Beautiful restaurant on the water - nice atmosphere - great service - food was good with some exceptions. Braised short ribs were so heavy and rich one guest who loves the dish said she could not eat most of it as a result. Ahi tuna poke was fair.
