This is an excellent restaurant in almost every way -one exception:Do not get ushered to their upstairs level. Zero ambiance-poor service.
Great waiter. Delicious food. We go to Ella’s every time we are in Hilton Head.
We loved our appetizers and meals. The tuna was a very generous portion especially. The view of the marina was perfect and our server was great, very knowledgeable and attentive. We'll return for sure!

Wonderful menu, expertly prepared a presented; great variety of choices; crisp, friendly service. I think just a bit over-priced, especially alcohol.
After a long day on the beach, my family of 5 was ready to eat! I saw great reviews about Elas on the Water, made a reservation and headed that way! It did not disappoint. In fact, weeks out from Vacay and I’m still talking about the bone in rib eye I ordered! It was, no doubt, the best steak I have EVER had. It was so good that we ordered a plate for my kiddos (11, 8 & 5) to split. We all cleared our plates!
Surf and turf fantastic. Server was informative and specials were great. App of beet salad and goat cheese was awesome! Live music in bar was so good as well.
I felt that there could be some minor adjustments to the overall dining experience. Food I expected to be slightly better. 1) NY strip could have used a nice char on the outside and some additional salt seasoning. 2)Chicken pasta for the kids- more creamy and chicken was a bit dry. 3)Calamari - was great! 4)Shrimp cocktail - was great! 5) Lobster bisque - was great, but I think adding a couple pieces of noticeable lobster would make it that much better. 6) lobster ravioli - was great Service The waitress was very nice and fr... read more
