The appetizers and entree's were very good and reasonable to very generous in size. The atmosphere was a bit more formal that most HHI restaurants and that was a nice change. The service was good and the staff was very accommodating. Worth a visit.
A very enjoyable experience. The special fried oysters were the best I've had recently. I had the blackened tuna but it was not the usual blackening spices. The dipping sauce was a great accompaniment and it was a great choice. My wife had the scallops and she said they were great. Service was outstanding too. Outdoor seating and you have a nice view of the harbor. Great spot, you'll enjoy it.
The menu choices were very diverse. The food was absolutely wonderful and the service was great.

Ela's is our favorite restaurant on Hilton Head Island. We love eating outside because the view is wonderful and even in the rain, it's comfortable.

Whenever we visit HHI, Ela’s is an early stop. Monday, upon arrival on the island, we headed over to Shelter Cove for dinner. Greeted warmly and seated with an excellent view of the marina, we settled in with an aperitif while checking out the menu. Karen, our server, made sure any questions were answered and daily specials explained. I chose the blackened tuna and Janice decided on another special, twin lobster tails.
