Food great! Service great! View from our outside seating was great! But the best part of the ambience was hearing Bill Peterson on the piano.
We eat here every time we visit the island. The food, service and ambiance is great. Located right on the docks so there are some magnificent boats moored there. Now the food. I started with the fried oyster appetizer. Some of the best oysters I’ve ever had. Wife had the arugula pear salad. Could easily eat this 3 times a day. The grouper with lobster butter was huge. Very nice Sunday brunch with piano Christmas music. Great food and service. Relaxing atmosphere.
We ate at Ela's after a play at Coastal Arts Center. We've eaten at other restaurants in the past but everyone on this reservation thoroughly enjoyed their meal and the location of the restaurant itself. Our server was very pleasant and didn't interrupt all the time yet attentive to our needs. It was the ending to a wonderful day. Very, very nice.
Delicious food but unsafe and unpleasant experience. The live music was too loud and unfortunately too amateur. The waiter was coughing and not wearing a mask. They were understaffed, so I won’t hold it against the staff that we were not properly attended.
Our dinner at Ela’s was everything we hoped it would be. The service and food were outstanding as was the view. We dined on the outside deck which had large overhead heaters and so we were quite comfortable. I had the lobster bisque followed by shrimp and grits, and my husband had a pear and arugula salad followed by the daily special of pecan encrusted salmon.
