We had a great experience with amazing food and service on our anniversary.
Pleasant evening on the marina at Shelter Cove. Ela’s on the water always makes for a special dining experience. Took an early reservation time (5:45) in order to avoid crowding during COVID Restrictions. We chose to eat outside as the days are getting shorter cooler evenings will make the opportunities fewer. We have been to ELA's several times over the past few years of vacations on HHI. Our server Grant introduced himself to us and was very pleasant. Since I wanted a nice Pino Grigio, he suggested a "Massa" (?). When I tried it, I didn't like it. My husband sipped it, too, to determine that it wasn't a wine gone bad. I told Grant and he substituted a Santa Margarita, which he said was very citrus forward with grapefruit tones. One of the things that stand out regarding this restaurant is the location as it sits right on the Shelter Cove marina. With that being said we were seated at a table on the lowest level overlooking the marina. It could've been any better! I ordered the crab cake entree and my hubby enjoyed the special of redfish served over a mash of some sort but both entrees were cooked to perfection and very tasty! OUTSTANDING food, service with a water view. This is a must restaurant. Make a reservation to eat out side.
The food was very good. Also the waiter was exceptional.
The food was great but the service was a little slow.
As always, our dining experience at Ela’s was exceptional. It was a lovely evening to sit on the porch and enjoy the water views.
