Ela's is our favorite restaurant on Hilton Head Island. We love eating outside because the view is wonderful and even in the rain, it's comfortable.

Whenever we visit HHI, Ela’s is an early stop. Monday, upon arrival on the island, we headed over to Shelter Cove for dinner. Greeted warmly and seated with an excellent view of the marina, we settled in with an aperitif while checking out the menu. Food and service and music from piano were wonderful and the view!
Our waitress was nice and took care of us. With covid every place is short handed and you can tell. Our oysters where fabulous but you expect them to fully shucked our we’re not. All of our food was warm at best ….again short staffed because no one wants to work except all of the people who are working. Every place is way understaff and the kitchen is doing the best they can but for a $400 dollar dinner for 4 I DO expect it to be a lot better. Please cut back your tables if you can’t serve hot food that is cook properly.
The food was finely crafted and delicious. We enjoyed it with a fantastic view of the water. Our was absolutely terrific and was a true professional. She is the person you want helping you in every fine restaurant you visit.
Again servers were excellent and very good food all tasty and good prices
Food was good. Service was great. They forgot my daughters salad and gave my son-in-law incorrect food but gave us a fantastic dessert to make up for it.
