We always try to make a visit to Ela’s when on the island. This trip we elected to sit outside the main dining area as the weather was mild. Food and service were great as has been our experience in the past. My grilled cobia over grits was memorable, and Janice said her rare filet mignon was correctly timed and fork tender. The outdoor seating was great, lovely evening overlooking the marina. Service was well-paced and each person in my party of 4 thoroughly enjoyed their entree. I had the shrimp and grits, a pretty classic preparation which I prefer to some that I have had that are a little too creative.

Our server was fabulous and everyone there was safe without feeling impersonal. It was a great family dinner for adults and kids, great view and great atmosphere!

Ask for Grant!! Wow! Kindness, service and so helpful!! The best NY strip I’ve ever tasted! & Lobster tail were amazing! Cooked perfectly and you cannot beat the atmosphere! The best dining experience I’ve had in HHI in many years! Love this place!
