Food was made to order and served hot! Excellent meal. We will be back!
Food was not as good as a year ago. Grouper special ordered by 4 diners was unremarkable. One dinner was very dry and the broccoli raabe was so tough it couldn't be cut with a knife and was inedible. The server did not check after serving until we were done eating. The shrimp and grits ordered by two diners was mediocre. The ambiance is great, but the food was disappointing.
Appetizers and entrees are spectacular. Coffee and espresso weak and tepid. Dessert was OK, but disappointing.
This is a great restaurant. The view is outstanding. Great food & wine list. We always eat here when on HHI.
The waterfront setting is lovely. The service provided here heightened the experience. We felt very special. Crab in the crab stack was the best I’ve ever had. I could eat that everyday. Space in the other dishes we had were so well balanced. What a Hilton Head treasure.
Service was great, view and ambience exceptional, prices reasonable, food very mixed. Appetizer and salad were great. Entrees were a mess.
We have been to Ela’s on several occasions. The bar area I very nice with knowledgeable and friendly staff tending the bar. Usually there is music, good drinks and a nice atmosphere. The dining area has a wonderful ambience overlooking Shelter Cove, however on this trip, our meal and service were a disappointment especially considering the cost of the meal.
