This is a great spot for families with young children, as there is a Kids' menu and the noise is such that the children will not stand out. The food is solid and there are many classic seafood options.
Noise in restaurant was way too loud, making conversation difficult!
One of the best meals ever which I will always remember! Food was unbelievable- fresh seafood, steaks and good wine. Atmosphere was absolutely beautiful! Only drawback was that prices were very expensive, but would definitely go back!
This restaurant is on the water, however, they sat our group of four upstairs with zero view, very disappointing. The fried green tomatoes appetizer was horrible and had to be sent back. They claimed the calamari was the best item on the appetizer list and we thought it was just average. Three of four had the crab cakes and they thought they were just OK. I was on vacation with my family in Hilton Head, where we go every year. A physician staying at our same resort, asked me if we had eaten at Ela's. I was surprised that I hadn't heard of it. He recommended that we try it, so we did... Very pleased with the food, location and staff! Owner was on site and greeted us. Excellent and unique menu! Seafood and steaks were excellent. Our waitress at dinner the night prior recommended ELA's for the fish. She was correct with her assessment that it was very fresh. The appetizer, calamari, was not as expected. The breading fell off immediately at the touch of the fork, but the flavor was good. My younger son ordered the children's pasta and grilled chicken. He loved the pasta, but the chicken flavor was not good - I tried it myself. It lacked any interest. Wonderful restaurant. Read the reviews, was excited about going for dinner. All expectations met and then some. Can't wait to return for another great evening!
Great food, view delightful. Will return on next visit to Hilton Head
While the food was very good and the service was good, there was nothing outstanding about the dining experience itself. We were seated outside overlooking the marina so the view was terrific. There is not a lot of room on the patio so we were pressed wirh servers and guests squeezing by. The one man band added a nice musical element. We recommend for the view only.
