We had a wonderful dinner with attentive but not overbearing service. Appetizers were exceptional- especially ELA's wedge salad. I would highly recommend the Pan roasted grouper which we paired with a very reasonably priced Cakebread Chardonnay. The Key Lime Pie is an absolute must. All in all a wonderful place for dinner.

Best dinner we've had in a long time! Every part of our meal was fabulous from the fried calamari appetizer, the seasonal fruit salad with the chocolate goat cheese on the side, the banana and macadamia nut crusted Maui, to the sea salt and caramel gelato! Excellent! Excellent! Excellent! Can't wait to go back!
Terrific experience! Had a wonderful table outside for dinner overlooking the water. And no corkage fee!!! The calamari was excellent - very tender. Met one of the owners, Alex, who was extremely nice and interested in our feedback. Thu-Sat they have entertainment - Dean St. Hillaire - who is awesome! Heard him last year and bought his cd. And the chef made the BEST caramel ice cream I have ever tasted!!! Don't miss!!!
Ela's was a very pleasant surprise, this venue had changed hands many times over the years so didn't know what to expect. But, we always enjoy going there. The location is ideal with water and marina views of Shelter Cove, Hilton Head, SC. The food and selections are great and the service was good. The live jazz music added a nice touch. We brought visiting guests who have never been to Hilton Head, so thank you Ela's for making this an evening we will all remember.
Lovely place. The setting against the Shelter Cove Harbour was a major plus. The decor and artwork were exceptionally nice. We found the wait staff to be average because of there forgetfulness. Parking is a challenge unless you plan on walking from the center of Shelter Cove. It was raining the evening we went so walking a distance was not an option.
Enjoyed this restaurant very much! Really went here for the view, which was an incredible sunset view over the marsh on one side and the harbor on the other. I was just hoping for okay food but instead, we we had terrific food with a very nice wine. Take it from me, the macadamia nut & banana encrusted mahi mahi was awesome! Our waiter was engaging and attentive. Great food, great service!
The oysters served for appetizers were excellent. It is largely a seafood menu but I was feeling steak, and I was not disappointed. Excellent steak, expertly prepared. Rain cancelled our cruise and sent us to the bar after dinner. Glad it did, actually. Music was way above average for a bar. Staff was all friendly, helpful, and made us feel they were glad we were there. We were glad they were there, too.
