I went to the Park Blvd. location yesterday. Dont expect to get anything done in a hurry. They will check you in, supposedly, and then forget about you for an hour and a half, all while you wait for a five minute CT scan. Not only that, they said my co-pay for said CT scan was a very unreasonable $125.

There is no rating lower than ONE STAR so SimonMed gets a bonus for this review. SimonMed recently acquired Gateway Imaging in *************, where I have been a patient/customer for years. I arrived a bit early for my Noon appointment for a MRI and was left sitting in the waiting room until a few minutes after 1:00. Led to a changing room, I was instructed to change to a gown and then left there for around 20 minutes. I've had imaging several times at Simon Med. They require payment in advance based on what they think insurance wiill require, if they can't reach insurance they come up with a number somehow. The first problem was a $1200 MRI bill that should have been a $50 co-pay. I had to pay $1200 to get the imaging, and then it took me over 5 mos and more than 7 phone calls to get a refund. You cannot get an xray scheduled. They will only do walk-ins for xrays. But that typically means you will have to wait way too long (two hours or more based on my experience) to finally get in. Happened to me again today. I expressed that concern at the front desk, and the gal said not to worry, she would get me in. I promptly received two texts saying I was scheduled...blah, blah. I was overcharged $218 for a procedure. I contacted them to get my refund (long process) and they said they would issue me a check. I received the check 7 months later. I tried to deposit it and it was stale dated. I then had to get my check back from the bank to send back to Simonmed. It has now been 3 months and I still havent received another check. My fiance went there Jan 2023. They told him he had $100 deductible. He paid it that day. In April 2023, he had not seen an *** for the service so he called his insurance who called Simon Med. The Insurance told them they needed to file the claim. So Simon Med finally did. The *** reflected that there was Zero out of pocket cost. Have been working on getting a claim properly submitted to my insurance for OVER 7 MONTHS NOW. billing ***** Over and over is NO HELP. NO SUPERVISORS. Not even in this country! No follow up when told supervisor would. Hung up on, transferred to wrong departments, total lack of any due process in the billing ***** I paid for a procedure out of pocket instantly as there was risk of brain bleed and didn't wait for pre-Auth. Deserve no stars! SMI Imaging has very poorly running systems all the way around. I informed them prior to my procedure that I did not have a co-pay for the imaging. They insisted I pay a $50.00 co-pay before my imaging would be performed. I paid the $50.00. My imaging was completed on November 3, 2022.
