2 cycles, 5 hours, stirred up most of the bottom dirt, picked up about 30%, an hour later the rest was on the bottom. I had to off the circulating pump so that the cable would not tangle. It seemed to suck air when it reached the top of the sides. I can do better with my pool brush. my pool is 18X33 above ground with a center drain at 51/2' and 31/2' end areas. Do you make a finer basket that will hold the dirt .
seems to be too light and doesn't stay on the bottom for long. when it turns which is often it jumps up and takes off. leaves sand on the bottom and takes longer to clean pool cause you can't program it to go back and forth. It does a good job on the sides and does go up our steps where spa sitting is. It was on sale but like my grandma would say, "you get what you pay for."
