Rebecca was very thorough in explaining the program. However, the cost was not discussed until after all the discussions. Not that it was that big of a problem, but we were initially lead to believe the cost was about $250 a week for the both of us, and not that we had to come up with a chunk of money like we had to do. I learned how to eat properly. I needed the discipline and accountability. Honestly, it showed my lack of discipline. It was up to me to follow a plan and do it. Lost 70 pounds. I now know what I need to do to lose weight.
The people were very nice. However I soon figured out why you can never find a cost for this plan anywhere, until after paying $25 for your consultation. It’s became it costs $260 a week to get on the SOTA plan. I am police officer who has 3 kids and a wife who is a homemaker. There is no way I can afford $260 a week no matter how many ways the consultant says I can make payments. $3k plus dollars is the same amount no matter if you pay some up front and then pay a lower amount weekly. Lady was very nice and knowledgeable. After hearing the price of $6500 for the program I am so motivated to lose weight now. I will do that and then use $6500 I saved to help others less fortunate than me. I cannot see knowing there are elderly people and children not eating but once a day ,or not at all ,and I spent $6500 to eat less and lose weight. My spouse and I really want to start the program however right now we really can not afford too as we have just had house remodeling done. We really wish there was a payment plan option too consider other than putting down over a thousand dollars.
I am losing weight, However, I am hungry all afternoon and after dinner. I am very worried that when I reach my goal weight and then go onto regular (albeit smaller portions diet) that I will put weight back on very fast, since I only lost ONE pound over a week of eating SOTA food AND walking 25 minutes every day. I think I would have rather gone on "NutriSystem", or Jenny Craig or Weight Watchers, where I would be eating food, instead of drinking protein.
Very disappointing, the rep wanted me to prepay as a commitment to the program. Informed her that was not financially feasible and she stated that I should come back when I “save up my pennies”. I was prepared to pay week to week but that was not acceptable to this program. Buyer beware here
