Horrible communication skills and work was A disaster! Wires were everywhere! If you clean work done on your pool equipment look for another company. This was handyman work or a fly by pool service company! I thought he was joking when stating the job was complete

Steve and his team installed a pool automation system. He sold me the wrong unit which doesn't control all pools and lights that I had asked for to be controlled. His installation was poor with wires looping all over the place and ugly looking. He point plank told me that the contract didn't specify a clean installation and that would cost more. He even denied that a low voltage wire for the heater controller which was cancelled out, belonged to the heater and just left it sticking out of the conduit. I asked him to put ever... read more

We needed a pool light installed, but had a challenge. It wasn't clear where the power cable to the light ran and it looked like we may have to tear up concrete to find the conduit, a very expensive prospect. Steve had his friend Mike, an expert in leak detection, come in and trace the cable. Mike discovered that the conduit actually ran to the house, under the cement slab.. Thus no cement removal!!! After 15 years my pool equipment was breaking down. Steve at South OC Pools had my pool up and running in about a week. Just in time for summer swimming! The new equipment is an upgrade of my original system. I couldn't be happier.

I would like to thank South OC pools for helping me fix my mom's pool. Unfortunately my mom's pool is very old and the pool needed a new pump and filter. Although our people needed many repairs, Steve always worked with me to get the possible deal and save as much as I could. He was very patient with my mom who is a little older and more difficult. He always gave me prompt updates on what needed to be done. We are very happy with the service we received and have even decided to make OC pools our weekly pool cleaners.

Fast, professional service! We were needing help getting our dinosaur gas heater going for a next day gathering. It was an unexpected quick fix but the fact that Stephen Suhr was here just a couple hours after the initial call and gave honest advice with choices for a solution was awesome. Will call South OC Pools for all future needs.

I have used OC Pools two times within the last 12 months. The first we needed a new pump. The second time we needed a new filter which he did warn me at the first visit. Both times Steve showed up on time and gave us a good and fair price. Highly recommend.

I hired Steve of South OC Pools to do a gas line installation. I am not doing a pool installation at this point, but am doing a variety of other backyard and sideyard changes that will eliminate my access to the required utilities in the future. So, I needed to do the gas line now. Stephen installed for us new pool and spa heater Pentair 400 BTU. We are Very pleased with fast turn around time and his professional skills. Can highly recommend him or any pool equipment installation jobs!
