When I lived in AZ, I found that Spa Avania was one of the premier spas in the area. The staff was always so nice and helpful and the massage therapists were always very good. After I moved, it was hard to find a place that compared, so I was very happy that I was able to fit in some time at Spa Avania when I headed back to AZ for a quick visit. To my delight, nothing has changed! Everyone was as nice as I remember and the massage that I got was beyond fabulous.
This place is the best. This place has great staff. I love the Eucalyptus steam room and mineral pool :)
My massage was heavenly! I'll be back for another very soon. The only criticism I have is that the "relaxing" room where we wait for our appointments wasn't as relaxing as other locations I've been to. There is a room where the employees go in/out and there was a lot of chatter and people walking through. Not as relaxing as I'd hoped. :)

It was the day we arrived in Arizona and a wonderful way to begin our stay in Scottsdale. My daughter-in-law and I were on family vacation when I treated her to a mother-to-be massage. We are so excited to be grandparents and after a long plane ride it was a wonderful way to relax and unwind. . She and I spent a few hours enjoying our individual massages and tour of the spa. This was my first visit at the spa , and I must say that it was a pleasant experience. The facilities were wonderful , and the staff were professionals .
This spa was nice but overpriced..I currently work at a resort spa with a full service separate salon, that has multimillion dollar ocean views for the same price point..so for the value I found it to be overpriced...my massage with Dawn was fantastic, the pedicure mediocre, the seating for the pedicure was not comfortable..the spa attendant was wonderful, very aware of any need that may arise. But overall I would give this spa 3 stars..
I totally enjoyed the message. The facial didn't seem much like a facial. She put something on my face and then massaged my hands and feet which I had already done in my message. I expected more attention to my skin on my face and neck. Very disappointed. 5 stars for massage, 2 stars facial.
