I closed my old unit about 2 years ago, but returned to rent again about a year ago. Everything has remained as stated in my previous review. I have seen the staff remain friendly, courteous, and helpful under very difficult circumstances. While dealing with rude and sometimes incoherent people from the homeless and addicted community, they have been firm, but always kind and gracious.

Customer service rocks! Janet, the manager, is always ready with a smile and answers to your questions. Adriana is very helpful too. It's so much nicer to take care of business when everyone is respectful.

IV been at this place for five years,have seen six managers come and go,cause she fires them to cover her ass from getting sued. And never had any problems till Janet,and got kicked out over the fact that I'm there every day,Im a vendor at the swap meets and buy units and so im dropping off merchandise every morning some times three times a day and she didn't like that, and the fact that I gave the lady down the hall some things and the lady went threw the stuff I gave her and only took what she wanted and left the rest when... read more

They are extremely helpful & friendly. They've worked with me and been very helpful when I was late one month, and when I lost my keys & needed the lock cut off. The place is clean & well managed. Ive noticed they're very kind to the large homeless clientele. Good people.

it is too bad that 1 star is as low as you can give. I had a storage for many years. When I moved in the managers were a married couple, he was retired military. Due to health reasons they had to quit. From that point there were many many managers. I had major health issues including being in the hospital several times. I would keep in contact even when I was late paying rent, including paying late fees. I verbally told the original manager my change of address and had my monthly bill sent to my change of address. I have been with Secure Self Storage for over 3 years and have been very pleased with their prices and their overall customer service, which has been very good. They have also been flexible with their availability for new units when I have I had to make changes under short notice. Prior, I had been with another more expensive self storage company in Kearny Mesa that was almost twice as expensive. Secure Self Storage has been by far more economical.

So they raised my rent from $45 to $65 monthly, don't ever come here, they will change their rate at any time.

In the past used to be really good, then with the economy, they started renting out for homeless that spent most of their time around looking for easy things to take away. The cameras are just for show, because they will not going out to see what you are doing with someone else's things.So if you have a storage or keep your RV, car, boats and anything thing that can turn into gold. My husband and I store items here during the last year. We stooped by around noon to pickup a shop-vac we had there. When we arrived at our unit I noticed that the door was jammed and said " some one has been in here" my husband ignored it til he unjammed the door and went in to shock, THOUSANDS of dollars worth of photography equipment were stolen from our unit.
