Got a quote for leak repair in main water line to the house. Their quote was over $3,400 for digging a hole and patching it. Thought that was absurd and said no thanks. Was charged $69 for the quote. I was offered a a VIP membership for a monthly fee that would save me 15%. After googling how to fix it l was able to do it myself in 4 hrs and for $21 in parts. The ONLY good thing that came from my experience was how quickly they responded. I had a clogged drain causing backup in the tubs and toilets, and the technician wouldn't even look around for a clean out to resolve the issue. Before even looking for an existing solution, my bill was AT LEAST $1500, with the threat of an additional $8000 to install a new sewer. I found steward plumbing through google and saw 5-stars and thought they must be good a good company. While the rep that came out was very nice, he couldn't have done a worse job. Not only was there no leak under my foundation, the leak was only a few feet from the water meter by the street. I went through the whole insurance process and was going to have the repair done next week. Worst Place ever DO Not Use them. First they get your Credit Card number then they say thata Technician will be there between 4-6. The Technician calla and says he is enroute but traffic is bad so after 2 hours theyhave closed and when you call conviently they are closed and there is no help. Called 5 times same answer no one is available, finally someone calls and says they are aware that I was supposed to be placed on the schedule but not for today buy tomorrow . Excellent Service, knowledgable plumber, who was efficient. Completed my leaky tank repair in less than 45 minutes. Service was an A+. However, I felt I was completely overcharged. Total cost to repair the leaky seals and replace the "guts" on the inside (minus the original flapper which was not replaced) on the tank bowl was $450 dollars. I've owned 5 homes and replaced/repaired toilets in all of them and this was not a $450 repair, in my opinion. Based on the overpricing alone, I have to give a 1 star rating.
We had a problem with our drains not working. I did a Google search and picked Stewart Plumbing on a whim. Tim came out and went to work. He found a problem that had been plaguing us for years. He ran the cutter through the pipe and opened the drain. Then went to work with the camera to see what the problem was. It was roots. Mark from Stewart Plumbing Inc., just left. He repaired the problem quickly. We now have a shut off valve where we can shut off the spicket from the inside and can drain the pipe so there is no water in the pipe. He is a very hard working person. He said he hasn't had lunch and it's 5:30. It looks like he's not going to get dinner. Thank God for people like him and Stewart Plumbing.
