We were excited to try thIs new restaurant! We walked in the door & there were 5 employees at the host stand, none of which even tried to open a door for my wife or myself. We were seated and the waitress arrived shortly afterwards to explain the menu and take drink orders. Sam was very friendly. First time at Stone Summit and excited about a steakhouse in the area. Unfortunately left a bit disappointed. Upon arrival we opted to sit in the bar as the restaurant ambiance was lackluster to say the least....felt like sitting in a cafeteria! We found a table for two in the bar but were quickly informed we couldn't order from the full menu, only the tavern menu, but could order from the full menu if we actually sat at the bar. Overall a good experience. The wedge salad was delicious and the french onion soup was incredible. However, service could have been better, our waitress seemed very new. When we were seated we were never told the specials, over heard them from another waitress after I already ordered, would have preferred the special. Had to ask for a bread basket after our appetizers, no big deal but everyone else had one when the sat down. Our appetizers came before our drinks, not a big deal but I found that odd. Service was good, but it is pricey and the food was just average. I had the fried Shrimp entree and it was over cooked while Gary had the steak special. He ordered it medium, but it came out medium rare to rare. Not a family place at these prices.
The food, cocktails and staff were great! We sat in the booth next to the owners. we witnessed the owners and their family intimidate and treat the staff horrible. Extremely disappointed that they acted this way to their staff. Not sure we will return after this experience.
