I want to love and recommend this facility to others, but there are some clear downsides to things. It is good that it is relatively secure (more on that below) and climate controlled. And the front desk staff, even among changes, was always responsive and excellent. For those looking for a place without a fixed-term contract, this could be a good option. Overall I felt like this was a positive experience. The automatic doors did have consistent issues but overall the space was clean and the staff was very friendly(although interactions were limited). Biggest problem to me was the constant price raises. In less than a year my rent doubled. The price I felt was very fair or maybe even below market value at 60$ a month but quickly got to 107$. This storage facility is by far one of the best in Columbus! I’ve been renting here about a month using it as storage for my business. The facility itself is secure, well-maintained and very clean. I appreciate the added layer of security driving into the building vs just driving through a gate, especially in cold weather! Katie has provided exceptional customer service- giving me a tour of the facility, answering all of my questions, breaking down costs and helping me find the right unit to fit my needs.
Update. I gave Storage Space Self Storage (7580 New Market Center Way Columbus OH) 3 stars in my review nine months ago. Now after my unit was broken into and owner/general manager or manager have been unresponsive, I update my review and give now one star. I would give it 0 stars if possible. They advertise the place as very secure with security cameras but when I asked for footage of the day my unit was broken into, one staff member said he was looking into and that manager was away. The manager, Katie, went above and beyond to help me with my storage unit. She explained the rental process clearly and made everything quick and hassle-free! Her attentive service and knowledge of the facility made my experience excellent. Five stars – highly recommend!
