RecommendedWe are here for the first time and I have to say it was a beautiful setting. Things are in need of repair but they are working on it. Rooms are rustic we had 2 screened in porches both were full of cob webs and spiders. Room need spruced up before guest arrive taking down all cobwebs and cleaning all window sill lots of little bugs. In saying that we just went down and got a couple of beach towels and covered our chairs I found a broom and I cleaned it up myself so we can enjoy our screened in porches Dinning room service ... read more
RecommendedI will try Stout Island Lodge again, my first impression was not good. It seemed run down, steps going to swim dock broken with no caution. Friday night dinner, French onion soup was cold, Cesar salad good, Prime Rib, maybe 1/4” thick, no flavor, potatoes were cold. Next night had New York Strip, it was very good. Old Fashion drink, very weak, Food is a little over priced for what you get, automatic 20% on everything, either their employees weren’t getting good tips, which I could understand why, service was not good. RecommendedThe staff were outstanding. Our granddaughter was married last weekend which was cold, windy and snowy. Since we live in Birchwood we didn't stay on the island but traveled back and forth by pontoon. Who ever was driving was courteous, pleasant and always ready to help me since I use a cane. Everything that could be done to make it a memorable day was done. Well done Stone's Island!!!😊
