A beautiful remote setting in the low mountains of North Western New Jersey. The facilities are in a former Franciscan Monastery and are completely adequate, if a bit antiquated. The treatment is educationally focused with peer led 12 Step meetings in addition to, currently Zoom meetings due to Covid. It is the staff, for me that sets Sunrise House apart. Quality of Food could use improvement
The counselors and staff are great, very involved in your recovery and willing to help however they can. With a willingness to participate and learn for your sobriety, you'll be able to get as much as you put in to learning how to stay clean, why you started using, and why you want a better life.
This place was really great. Staff very friendly and accomodating. Sent me on the right path to sobriety. Also, food was good. :)
Upon arriving, I was immediately impressed with the warmth and kindness shown by the admission staff. The staff were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable regarding the detox period. I personally felt that the treatment I received greatly helped with the transition through detox. The nurses on staff, although incredibly busy, were still attentive to my needs. The building could use some upkeep. Other than that, the program works if you want it. tolerance and patience.
The people are really what made this program impact my life. The counselors and fellow peers whom I could relate to made me feel not as alone in my struggle with addiction. The building itself isn't glamorous but sometimes we need to be humbled cause that shouldn't be your priority when coming to rehab. I wish there was more communication between the staff in how to properly run the facility but overall I can't be more grateful to have come here.
My experience at Sunrise House professional informative. I appreciate all of the services they provided and will recommend them in the future to anyone who might need the same help that I needed.
