Get directionsFound mom unresponsive more than once, no supervision when feeding. Front office was great, nursing not so much. Mom expressed how much she hated it here. Food was good, but mom needed help being fed and because of that she ate less. They tried twice to get mom to activities, then stopped. They promised a lower price, but was more than the place she came from due to the elevated care she needed.
Business response:
We believe that this review was meant for another senior living community. The mother stayed only briefly because she wanted to live at another place close by. None of these issues took place at our community. Her son expressed thanks for our team.
Sadly their bus broke down in November. Recently they got a van that is not handicapped equipped. Residents have been having to pay 20-40$ to get to store or doctors. No lunches or outings. Vet y sad.
Business response:
We apologize for the inconveniences that you may experienced, and thank you for your patience. We expect to have the transportation up and running by mid-May.
I have multiple friends that live here and since the new management there is NO Transportation to speak of. The bus does not run and even if it did it has no wheelchair lift. Residents are instructed to call ride service and pay for it themselves! Their advertisements say transportation is provided and complimentary. People in this type of community clearly need transportation to medical appointments. Budgets are planned on it. This change is definitely contrary to their current website!
Business response:
We apologize for any inconvenience that you may experience with our transportation service. It is our hope that the transportation situation will be ratified soon.

I would say beautiful facility, great dining and food . Staff is hit or miss . Some are super nice and caring while others are mean and lazy . For the price I would recommend it . It is affordable and better than many other facilities in the area .
Business response:
Hi Mj, your feedback and high star rating mean a lot to us. Thank you for taking the time to leave this review for our community!
Mom is having some adjusting to do from her experience at the other place. She really liked the first place but it was too expensive . The place is kept clean, no complaints. My interactions with the staff have been good and seems ok with mom. She said the meals don't compare to the ones at the first place (community name removed) as far as taste and quantity. Mom doesn't think the staff responds quick enough when she pushes her call button. I spoke with head nurse and she told me they respond in order of importance but I'm ... read more

Hi Anonymous, thank you so much for sharing your experience with us! We appreciate you taking the time to leave us a positive review
Honestly the facility seemed a little big and empty. The food was institutional quality and served cold. Staff calls could take a hour or more for a response. Due to our experience, I would not recommend Tampa Gardens Senior Living.
Business response:
We are always open to hearing criticism but our current staff are responsive and caring about the seniors that they work with. If they do not return your call immediately, it is most likely that they are with residents or family members taking care of their immediate needs. If you visit our Facebook page you will see many posts of people having fun and enjoying life.
Not organized, nobody asked [name removed} to get a shower. Nobody invited her to activities. We made hair appointment and nobody came to get her but they still charged us. They didn't explain the rules on walking outside with other residents. Not aloud to walk outside. She only stayed one week. They didn't give one penny of Community Fee. Zero.
Business response:
Our policy is to have open communication between staff, residents, and family members and we are serious about the care and happiness of all of our residents. Equally important is that family members openly communicate with us in determining expectations, especially when it comes to being acclimated into a community. As your mother no longer lives with us, we wish her all the best in her new community.
I moved my husband in late[date removed]to Tampa Gardens because he had late stage Parkinson's and Parkinson's related dementia. I could no longer provide the care he needed at home. The care by nurses and aides was as advertised. They were great! In October Pacifica Senior Living took over ownership and everything went downhill. I moved my husband to another facility in early December due to lack of the care he required and cleanliness of his room. Often I would visit and could not find anyone to bring his medication or hel... read more

Dear Pat, We are truly sorry that your experience with Tampa Gardens Senior Living was not a good one. Having a loved one with late-stage Parkinson’s and Parkinson-related dementia is not only difficult but heartbreaking.
