Local restaurant, close to home. the waitstaff was awesome, the food was delicious and we had a blast. We plan to celebrate our anniversary there!
Had birthday dinner. After trying new restaurants for the last 3 of our birthdays (mine or husbands), this one rated at the top. Brussel sprouts were amazing (though, eat them while they are hot. they get a bit oily when cooled off). The beets were also very good. would have been nice of the two little rolls would have come with the appetizer to soak up the balsamic glaze. Great patio even in January. I felt like I was at a wedding reception with the twinkling lights in the trees and white tent with flowing curtains and peaceful waterfall. This was a great place for friends to get together-the noise level was such that we could actually hear each other talk without shouting (my pet peeve) and the service was perfect. My date and I went here before a dinnertime movie showing at CineBistro down the street. Just like the other reviews say, the entrance doesn't match the experience you get once you are seated and that's a good thing. The service was fantastic and the food and wine incredible. We requested to sit outside, although in the middle of winter, they had it beautifully decorated and plenty of heating lamps to keep us warm. Food was good and well-presented...perfect amount. Sea Bass and Veal a tad overpriced @ 32/ea. Server could have checked in more often. I drink a lot of water. Was a little loud until it got late in the shift, then better.
We've been to Terra many many times and experienced wonderful food. This time was a bit hit or miss on the items. I loved the onion soup but wondered why so many dishes were being equally doused in cheese. I hope this neighborhood gem hasn't decided to cut cost on sourcing quality ingredients. Hoping next time my lobster Mac and cheese is not caked in bright orange cheese and that the summer vegetables pasta dish isn't highlighting a fall/winter menu. Until next time though!
Working nearby, I discovered Terra Terroir a few years ago through colleagues. The shopping center entrance certainly hides the incredible outdoor patio. With lovely fountains and vines all around, you would never know you are in a Brookhaven parking lot. The menu is solid - good food at a good price.
