They're getting ready to put in all new furniture and add new paint, that should be done by September. Right now it looks a little tired, but the plan is there. I would say I've been very pleased with TerraBella Hillsborough from start to finish.
Our family had an in person tour and this was going to be our first choice because we liked it so much but at the time they did not have any availability
I would tell others that it was just not the care that he needed, he needed more individual care than they were able to provide. They did not provide any activities for him while he was here and he was pretty much just sitting all day. It was not the right fit for us.
The activities at the community are still pretty limited, but we do know they have a couple of things they are able to offer to the residents. The apartments are very nice, and the staff members have just been super friendly and helpful.
Elmcroft has been wonderful, it was a temporary stop for us. Other than my husband being the youngest of the crowd, it is a great place and the people are very nice and very caring. If he were 10-15 years older and he was a better fit, he would be staying here. My husband says that the food here is good and has had no complaints. They do offer a good variety of activities as well. It was hard just because we had a limited experience due to covid but I would absolutely recommend them.
I've been pleased. There were a couple of times where I wish they would have communicated more about my loved one's care.
I would want families to know when looking into Elmcroft of Hillsborough that in terms of memory care, I believe the staff is very polite and caring with the residents. The director of the memory care unit has strong communication skills, pays attention to detail, and has respect for the residents as well as respect for the families. I would recommend this community.
