Me & the missus went for Valentines. Booked at 9.30 arrived at 9 & had a drink at the bar due to the reviews on this site. Got a funny look for turning up early but must say food was exceptional pity we weren't that hungry as we had been drinking but definitly a restaurant in London worth visiting.
Thai Square (the Trafalgar Square branch) - this is always reliable -as chains go this has never failed me. The food is nice with some regional/special variations from your usual Thai, and the price (considering location) are acceptable.
Food was really good. But a big group having dinner on the opposite table mad hell of noise, throughout the dinner.
Thai Square Trafalgar Sq, London. Excellent food, good value, good service. Nice decor. Only criticism was having 5 people at a table designed for 4 people so one of our party was stuck on the end of the table making it a bit caramped.
A good evening in a restaurant that offers reasonable fare both at lunch and supper. We had the Silver set menu which was varied, more than ample and reasonable vlue at £25 per head. The service was quick and attentive.
Thai Square was reliable as ever; food is good and service attentive. Will definitely go there again. One of the few places where you can get good food late at night without being hurried.
Had gold menu, with mixed starter, duck pancakes, and two mains of coconut beef and monkfish green curry, followed by coconut and mango ice cream. Starter and duck pancakes were usual thai fair, well done - coconut beef main was well done, and large chunks of monkfish in the green curry - though perhaps curry itself was a little too spicy for my tastes. Desert felt a bit 'straight out of the freezer' but was good nonetheless. Very attentive and pleasant staff.
Thai Square - Trafalgar Square - had the 3 course pre theatre meal for 14.50 - both chicken dishes, but a good price, marginally over spiced but overall a quick tastey meal!
Excellent service and great food in a modern, interesting environment. The service was amazing, top notch. Polite and efficient. It was quite warm in there, and they were prompt to serve water as needed. The food was fairly quick out the kitchen, and we were able to chat into the night without being pressured to leave. A lovely night out.
