Popped in to Thai Square after watching the Olympics beach volleyball. Great end to a great day! Food was delicious and service was good.
It was a Saturday that we went, booked in advance. Meeting friends that we had not seen in a long time so spent the first 20mins catching up until a waitress came over and said 'you have not ordered yet and you have to leave the table in 1.5hrs.' wasn't aware of the time restriction so felt rushed. Waitressing was efficient but no service with a smile. Food good as always.
A group of 6 of us went for a catch-up lunch here. The service was prompt, non-intrusive and helpful. Two friends had the lunchbox meal which was really good value considering the mix of things you got - they enjoyed it. Two other friends had the vegetarian set menu, which gave lots of dishes and 3 full courses. I ordered the lamb mussaman curry with rice. The lunch boxes at Thai Square Trafalgar are very reasonably priced for a restaurant in this area.
We had the set menu, the food was lovely & the menu had a good variety to choose from & a lot of food! Dessert was great too. The service excellent at the restaurant, they came to us a number of times. We had to change to booking time at the last moment & they were very accommodating. As we got the set menu we were allowed free entry to the club downstairs. Which would normally be £15 for men & £5 for girls.
It was our first visit to Thai Square and we will certainly go back. The starter for two to share was yummy, especially the dumplings. The duck curry was delicious. Romantic atmosphere, service was fine but might need a little improvement.
Great restaurant, we went for a birthday celebration. The ambience was good however we felt rushed to leave the restaurant once we had finished.
