Good apartment in a great location These apartments aren't anything fancy, but they are quiet, well maintained and in a good location close to NCCU, Duke and UNC. They are also decently priced for their size. The office staff is generally helpful, but only if you want the basics, such as picking up a package or reporting an issue to maintenance.
Not The Best Not The Worst Beech Lake is a great starter apartment if your looking to get the most space for your money. It's pet friendly and less than a mile away from Target, Sams Club, Harris Teeter, and Carmike Wynnsong. The only major downsides are the thin walls and poorly insulated flooring. Other issues are mostly aesthetic.

Okay Apartments for an Okay price... I have been staying in beech lake for 2 years now, and its been a decent stay. It doesn't have some of the nicer amenities that other complexes in the area have ( i.e. business center, free gym, etc.) The apartments are older so there is no overhead light in any of the rooms. The walls are thin, and you hear everything going on in the apartments beside and above you. The windows aren't sealed, and your electric bill tends to reflect such.
