The Commons has an interior design person who can come to your house and help decide what furniture will fit best in the assisted living apartment. It was very helpful and a free service.
My husband, who has Parkinson's, was a respite resident at The Commons on Meridian for most of the month of November, We were very staisfied with the facility and staff, Our initial tour highlighted the room and many varied amenities including speech, PT, and OT. The staff from the front desk to the dining room introduced themselves and made my husband and his many visitors feel welcomed. The nursing staff kept me well informed of his needs and progress throughout his stay. We highly recommend The Commons on Meridian.
They need to work on expanding dining options, especially with fresh salads but I would recommend The Commons on Meridian community to other families who may need a place for their loved ones
The facility just changed ownership and it has not been a smooth transition. They appear to be short staffed. This may be a temporary problem. I have had to prompt the staff to empty soiled incontinence products that leave the apartment very smelly. The food appears to be good. The staff is friendly and they appear to be kind to my loved one.
The nurses have been great. Had some issues with house cleaners, hopefully now is resolved. My Dad is a pretty picky eater and he seems happy with the meals. I would recommend this facility to others.
I am a people person and love that everyone that I have come into contact with at anthology has been kind and helpful, My mother in law is NOT the easiest to make happy and if she could she would sit and do nothing and let everyone do everything for her and complain, and I have told[name removed]that they need to be forced to leave the room and she and her staff are not letting her call the shots and getting them out of the room and not giving in to her, I love that they listen to my concerns and are creatively making them g... read more
We picked this community because of the cost and locationAmazingly friendly staff!!! The PT/OT speech department was outstanding!!! Communication was thorough and very helpful.
I have had my mother in my care for [time frame removed] without a break. I took a tour of Anthology of Meridian Hills and was very impressed. My mother had a 30 day respite stay where she was well taken care of, well fed and received the attention she needed in memory care. Her family and friends were always warmly welcomed. I wish this could be a permanent solution for her.
This is the 6th facility, I've been in since 2015, so I have a lot of comparison. It's physically pretty inside. Friendly, kind staff, and nice residents.
