Get directionsAnthology of Meridian Hills is an absolutely beautiful facility. It is private pay and was quite expensive. It also did not seem like they were very well staffed from what I could tell.

The staff is knowledgeable, warm and friendly. The location is perfect and the facility is elegant and well kept.
4 but often times there's a very strong odor of stink in in the hallways on memory care and occasionally when you enter. 4,most staff. The food doesn't seem to be favored too much by residents that are alert enough to know the difference. Not at all. I understand why some of the difference is made for the memory care residents, but they need more stimulation for the memory care residents. There really isn't much interacting by staff with most residents and some of them don't appear to have many if any visitors. After meals m... read more
My father started at The Commons on Meridian in Assisted Living (formally Anthropology). It was bought out by American Senior Living. We recently left their Memory Care Unit (May 2026) due to negligence. There was nonstop staff turnover (both administration and non administration positions), employees not following through with my father’s daily Care Plan (that we were paying for), non-communicative administration and related staff, a feeling of disconnect among the various sections within the entire facility (medical staff ... read more
Would not recommend anyone to this facility, when it was Anthology it was GREAT!!!! Once American senior communities came in it was nothing but headache!!! Moved parents out!!!!! Communication is a major issue.
Hopefully new ownership, new management, new caregivers will improve everything. I haven't seen improvements yet so at the moment we would not recommend this community to other families.
I am not pleased with this Memory Care Facility..... when we first put our our loved one in the facility back in [date removed] things were great! When the new Director [name removed] came in [date removed] the facility went downhill! She is a horrible person and should not be an executive director. I'm giving them a 1 across all areas! I would not recommend this facility to anyone entrusting their loved one in their care.

I'd rate Friendliness, Care Services, Staff, and Value for the Cost all a '0' or negative if I could. Especially the new director. She's not open to starting a dialog for valid criticism. I visit my mom daily, 6 out of 7 days or nights a week, so I am there a lot. The only 2 things (besides walking) that my mom cannot do is get off the toilet and into bed. They'll leave her on the toilet for over an hour. They often don't answer when residents buzz for help. I will say, there are SOME good helpful staff. If they all saw the ... read more

Anthology's staff was not very friendly and the person we set up a tour with was a no show and no one else was available for us. We did not go back after being turned away.
