Beautiful historic property, with a few tweaks would be great The airconditioning system is centrally controlled and in my room very noisy. I couldn't regulate the temperature. The breakfast options were very limited. Excellent location and interesting historical building. Very friendly and helpful staff. Bed very comfortable and generous toiletries.

Very Good Some basic amenities for guests would have been nice, such as a continental breakfast, or at least coffee and tea in the lobby. The Hotel has many beautiful facilities that seemed run down or were closed. The hotel is pricey for what it provides, but I suppose that is to be expected in downtown Chicago. The Congress Plaza hotel was one block from the Hilton Hotel where I attended a conference. There are many restaurants close by, and the Congress is a good base for reaching the Field Museum, Shedd Aquarium, etc. on... read more
