Great location and a beautiful historic bldg.
Overall a great visit, aside from a couple of small issues. Was disappointed the lounge wasn't open for most of our stay and no one informed us about the extremely limited hours before we booked -- it was the thing about the hotel that my husband had been looking forward to the most, so it was a pretty big letdown. Love the great location and close proximity to many restaurants and coffee places.
I would come back. Staff, especially the concierge, were difficult to find when needed. The building is a landmark: the design was fantastic some time ago, but looked a little worn now. Location is perfect, a short walk to all the museums and sites we wanted to see. The room was comfortable and beds too.
Very Good I enjoyed the historic building and decor throughout. It is in a great location, within walking distance of the art institute, aquarium, museum and planetarium. Several great restaurants within waking distance as well. Room was priced accordingly as it isn't as modern and offering as many bells and whistles, however it was quite comfortable.
Weekend girls getaway Room could have been a little more updated. The property is beautiful. Great location over looking the party and lake.
I would definitely recommend it to others: great location, nice room space, and courteous staff. The only issue was that the bathtub was clogged and drained slowly. We really liked the room. The beds were comfortable and we did not feel cramped because of the space of both rooms. The rooms were clean and when I requested more coffee packages, the staff brought them right away.
Great stay, great people, great location The room that I stayed in looked like it needed to be updated. The rest of the hotel as beautiful as it is did not seem to match the room quality. I also felt that the beds that we slept on are only comfortable if you enjoy a very firm mattress. That did not happen to be me or my friends that I was traveling with.
